Perform CPR Properly: Acquire the skills to perform chest compressions and deliver rescue breaths correctly to help maintain blood flow in individuals experiencing cardiac arrest.Use an AED: Become proficient in the operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), a crucial device used to help restore a normal heart rhythm.
Help with Breathing: Learn techniques to ensure a clear airway for effective breathing and understand appropriate interventions for obstructed airways.
Help a Choking Person: Master the necessary steps to assist someone who is choking, regardless of whether they are conscious or unconscious.
Work Well with Others: Develop an understanding of effective teamwork and communication when providing emergency assistance.
Stay Safe While Helping: Learn essential safety precautions to protect yourself while providing aid and understand the legal considerations related to emergency response.
Assess and Act: Develop the ability to quickly assess emergency situations and take appropriate and timely action.
Get Certified: Prepare for and successfully complete the assessment required to obtain a BLS certificate, demonstrating your competence in emergency response.
Learn the Basics: Gain a fundamental understanding of what Basic Life Support entails, including the ability to recognize when someone is experiencing a life-threatening emergency such as a heart attack or cessation of breathing.
