Course details
CEP proposes the Food Safety certification program, the first of its kind in Lebanon. It is endorsed by the Lebanese Ministry of Industry, Lebanese Syndicate of Food Industrialists and the General Union of Arab Chambers.
Nowadays, consumers are interested in healthful eating, more particularly, food safety is a prime issue of public health concern due to the increasing incidence of food borne diseases in the last few years. To survive in the light of increased awareness of people on the food safety issues, food companies need to implement good manufacturing and hygiene practices, along with quality assurance programs.
Course Objectives:
- Examine the programs that maintain food safety in food production environments;
- Describe how SOPs and GMPs are necessary before developing a system.
- Understand the requirements for monitoring and reviewing risk assessments;
- Present and discuss the principles of HACCP & Implement and maintain an HACCP plan.
