Advanced Employment Law Practitioner is designed for experienced HR practitioners who already have a firm grasp of employment law concepts. It examines the more complex areas of law that have a direct impact on current HR practice, and using a combination of case studies and debate, it will enhance your existing knowledge, while updating you with new developments in case law and pending legislation.

Course Tutors

Mr Mike Worthington

MIKE WORTHINGTON Ma, Chartered FCIPD, FIH, Dip Training. A specialist lecturer, trainer and adviser in Employment Law who has worked across a range of sectors including hospitality, sports and leisure, engineering, oil and petroleum, finance, telecoms, retail, national and local government. Mike developed his career in the hospitality industry working in Personnel, Employee Relations and Management Development opening new hotels all over the world. He subsequently worked in Regal Hotels as Human Resources Director building the business from 7 to 127 hotels in three years – becoming an expert in TUPE in the process! In support of Mike’s law work, he sits as a member of the Employment Appeal Tribunal which hears cases on points of law arising from Employment Tribunals and also has a Masters Degree in Human Resources and European Employment Law. Mike was recently elected as a Fellow of Gray’s Inn.
