Course details

An advanced course, designed for the senior quality practitioners with considerable experience in auditing (internal or external). The process approach to auditing is re-visited and emphasized as a mandatory requirement in auditing exercises. The course is based on practical case studies for auditing exercises, covering various cultural, organizational, and business contexts. Diverse examples encourage auditors to improve their decision making and analytical skills, while re-enforcing their command of the Quality Management System standard as an important audit criterion. Common auditing mistakes and audit biases are reviewed during the course. Challenges and strategies for coping/overcoming them are addressed.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to have an in-depth understanding of the Quality Management System standard requirements and process approach to auditing, more accurately evaluate degree of conformity to the standard requirements in the organization, evaluate the level of risk associated with non-compliance to requirements, better handle resistance and challenging audit situations, and be more confident in identifying non-conformities and areas for improvement.
