Course details
This course will focus on creating assets using current industry pipelines and techniques. Students will learn the process of creating their own assets starting with a very simple basic model through to more complex models. Students will learn the concept of high poly to low poly modelling, and the usage of NURBS in a polygon workflow. Students will learn how to unwrap their model ready for texturing. Students will then dive into Substance Painter where the model will be baked and textured with materials. Lastly students will be shown the process of exporting their models and textures and imported into Unreal Engine 4. Students will also learn the PBR pipeline, how to create LOD and creation of custom collision. This course does not have the aim of teaching you all the more advanced techniques involved in asset creation, that is coming in more advanced training I am creating now. however is designed to give the student an over all understanding of the entire process so that the student can go into more complicated modelling projects with confidence and an understanding of how it all fits together.
We are also teaching industry standard software so you understand how to work if you land that dream job eventually.
