A Training and Education initiative for the region pioneered by the GCC Advertising Association.

The Institute premises are in Bahrain, but all training programmes can be presented anywhere in the region according to local demand.

The Advertising, Marketing, Communications Media Industry and other Business organisations in the region finance the Institute.

The Financers are represented on the board of Trustees of the Institute and are also represented on the Board of Directors.

The Institute is in Academic Partnership with St Helens College of Further Education in North West England.

St Helens College is responsible for preparing and delivering quality training programmes to meet the predetermined needs of the industry.

The quality of training is ensured through accreditation to internatinally recognised assessing organisations such as EdExcel/BTEC - London, the CAM Foundation in the UK, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), City and Guilds of London, the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), and the IAA International Deploma Programme in New York.

The Institute provides a full-time Foundation (Gateway to the Future) Programme designed to prepare graduates for entry into the industry. This programme is available in two formats: Standard (one year duration) and Fast Track (three months duration). Candidates for the programme will be assessed for creativity, career interest, and job potential. The key objective of the programme is to prepare young people for worthwhile employment in the industry.

The institute also provides a comprehensive programme of short duration "in-service" training modules, seminars, conferences and lectures to assist professionals already working in the industry.

As a service both to the industry and to business organisations the Institute contains a reference library and resource center equipped as an open learning facility. Operational management of the Institute is vested in its Director who reports to the Board of Directors representing the Trustees, the Industry, and the Academic Provider.
