Hi and Welcome. My name is Deborah Casey and I'm a traditional Usui Reiki master teacher with over 17 years in the field of Holistic therapy and 14 years experience in the field of Reiki; I'm fairly new to creating media courses. I'm passionate about sharing what I've has learned with others. Over the years I've watched many clients, who have received Reiki therapy, become calm, centred and enjoy progressing in their lives.

Reiki is a timeless, limitless and ageless. Reiki is simply a Universal, energy healing modality, that is now some 200 years old however it is founded in ancient wisdom and philosophy. Reiki heals on all levels of being; mind, body spirit and soul are restored to harmony and balance. Initially students apply Reiki to heal themselves and then they can share this with family, friends, pets, plants and also to energise food. A growing body of evidence supports the application of Reiki and it has been provided in the UK health service to patients; I was very honoured to be invited to provide Reiki to NHS staff who enjoyed their experience.

My passion for Reiki and to share with others, has been borne from how daily application of Reiki has restored my own health and well-being. Experiencing trauma, illness, injury and insult all left me a bit of a mess. Great transformation was found in what at the time felt like great losses for me but here is an example of the souls resilience and ability to shine through and bring healing. So I find myself in the truly honourable position to be here of service to you.

It is my intention to share with you level one Reiki teachings and to provide you with your lifetime attunement to Reiki; Reiki is simple, easy to learn and pure in its form; Reiki can never be used to harm anyone. Commitment and support is given to you through on going support here in Udemy in the form of the Q and A section and also private message facility. There is also the option to join a Facebook group where there are opportunities to share distance Reiki, meditation, ask questions and share insights and anecdotes.

But be mindful this modality does not replace seeking and obtaining professional medical examination, treatment or referral to other health professionals.
