This course is perfect for frequent travelers, international travelers and students that are planning to spend a semester abroad. Our goal is to ensure that you have a positive experience, by providing information that will help reduce risks and anxiety often associated with traveling in a foreign country. The course can also be used as a resource anytime you are planning a trip.
The course consists of six sections discussing various topics related to travel safety including, but not limited to, general safety, how to prepare for your trip, what to pack, what to look for when using public transportation, how to act when in a different culture and what to do in case of an emergency. The course has a number of video lectures with over one hour of material, quizzes, external resources and tools to help plan your trip.
Remember, the best way to reduce risk when you travel is to know before you go. Having the knowledge and preparing for your trip will give you the confidence to relax and get the most out of your time spent abroad.
