Will there ever be an answer for unethical behavior?  The world comprises many cultures, religions, and beliefs.  This diversity is what makes defining ethics and instilling ethical conduct in the workplace a difficult task.  If the business world is going to advance the cause towards ethics, individuals must understand the traits and skills that an ethical leader should exhibit.

Ethical leaders seem to always know how to do the right thing. It may be difficult to define what "right" is in words, but ethical leaders are not afraid to do what they truly believe is right. They are not swayed by the "popular" vote.  They are ready and willing to step up to the challenge.

Washington Carrato, creator of The Man Van, states:

"Being a great leader is all about timing and knowledge. A good leader knows when to criticize, when to praise, when to encourage, and when to demand more from their team. Being a leader does not mean working in isolation. Nobody knows the answer to every problem.  It is essential to understand your shortcomings, and consistently learn and develop. A good leader will seek out a mentor to learn from and bounce ideas off."
