Movies, simply put,are about one of two things: Someone trying to do something, or somethinghappening to someone. The "someone" represents theprotagonist; the "something" is the plot. Theinteraction between characters andplot is where the quality,depth and successof a story lies.

Welcome to Part One of the Screenwriting Mega Course, a groundbreaking approach to mastering screenplay story structurethat has taught thousands of new and experienced screenwriters how to create and integrate all of the essential elements that a professional screenplay must contain.

There is a pattern in the storytellingofall successful movies, regardless of their genre. This pattern has been distinguishedin more than 50 movies so far, all of which have found critical and/or box office success. When Hollywoodreaders recognize this pattern ina screenplay they are considering, it has a much higher chance of being purchased and produced. The pattern consists of eight "Core Elements" that must be present in every story.

By understanding these Core Elements, the writer will be able to craft a storythat fulfills itspotential, with three-dimensional characters, relevant themes and subplots, and the required structural moments that causes it to berecognized as a professional-quality screenplay.

The lessons taught in this course bring movie storytelling down to it's Core Elements, inspiring and channeling creativity towards productivity and success.
