MSc CPM at HWU is one of the longest-running programmes of its kind in the UK, equipping graduates with the theoretical knowledge and practical and technical skills to manage people and projects within the construction industry. A range of core courses covering management, procurement and technology-related subjects will give students a foundation in management principles while providing practical skills relevant to professional practice in construction. Students will also choose an optional course from a range of subjects drawn from our built environment programmers, providing with a broader understanding of built environment issues and an opportunity to tailor their studies to fit their interests and professional needs.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• A relevant degree with either first or second class honours from any recognised University.
• Other equivalent qualification and relevant industries experiences may also be considered on case by case basis.
• Mature and experienced adults working in relevant industries may also be considered on inpidual merits.
• All applications are approved and authorised by Heriot-Watt University.

The up-to-date and comprehensive learning materials provided to students are developed by a team of experts and subject specialists from Heriot-Watt University.

To complement the Heriot-Watt's learning materials, and to enhance the learning process, supplementary literature and notes are provided by Trent Global.

Assessments 

Assignments and Written Examination:

• All assessments are written and marked by Heriot-Watt University Staff.
• Examinations are held thrice yearly | (April, August & December)
• Invigilation by the British Council

The Programme offers an effective combination of a superior Distance Learning Package and comprehensive delivery of study material and support system.

The course is offered in part time mode.
