IntroductionMonitoring and evaluation is a concept and practice through which organizations evaluate where they are, where they are going, how they will get there and basically what needs to be done to achieve preset objectives. The practice enables organizations to understand what they need to do, ultimately understand if they achieved the same and if they didn’t, evaluate what could have been done to improve results of rolled out projects.
This five day’s training serves as a guide and introduction to development practitioners primarily those involved continuously in project implementation on how to monitor and evaluate projects and programmes in an effort to achieve objectives and also help beneficiary communities in improving their livelihoods.

Cost
The individual cost for the training workshop is USD 999 for individual participants and USD 800 for groups above 10 participants exclusive of 16% VAT. This covers the training fee, resource materials, and conference package. Participants will be responsible for their own travel expenses and arrangements, such as airport transfers (and visa application, where necessary), food and accommodation, health/accident insurance, and other personal expenses.
Intended Attendees
This course is meant to increase the monitoring end evaluation knowledge of anyone entering the project management, monitoring and evaluation field, field officers, project officers and at the same time increasing the knowledge of project managers, government officials, CBO operatives, NGO employees, UN Staff and anyone involved in project management activities.
Aim
This course aims to broaden and deepen the understanding of monitoring and evaluation of projects focused on poverty alleviation, food security, gender equality, and equity, reducing vulnerability and the design of safe cities and communities all over the globe.
Objectives of the training
- Monitor programme inputs, processes, and results required for management development programs performance

- Identify ways to overcome barriers to conducting effective development programmes monitoring.
- Select appropriate indicators for measuring development program outputs and outcomes.
