This course is ideally suited to students who want to progress into the management & marketing areas of tourism. Students will acquire a variety of skills and knowledge in tourism, business & IT which will enhance their career prospects in the tourism industry. The course is a further development of the first year Tourism & Travel Studies course.

Awarding Body:

Further Education & Training Awards Council (FETAC)/QQI - Business Award Level 6 

Career Opportunities:

Successful graduates of this course can enter the employment market in a number of areas and at various management levels of the tourism industry.

Further study - successful students may be eligible to apply to DIT for entry into Year 2 of a Degree Programme in Tourism (subject to approval).

Minimum Entry Requirements:

Successful completion of FETAC Tourism Award or FETAC Business Studies Award (to include two Tourism Modules) or equivalent standards of education. All entry is subject to interview.
