The Bronwyn Conroy Beauty School has been at the forefront of Beauty therapy training in Ireland for over 43 years. Now with a new owner, Business woman and Entrepreneur Anna Keely, our aim is to ensure that students are both exam and commercially prepared to work in this amazing Industry.
Excellent exam results are not enough anymore, you must be confident, skilled and have gained invaluable work experience in our College Salon before you leave. This ensures that you will succeed at interview or indeed be ready to set up your own business. We now include all of the “extra” courses that you simply must have to start your career and we support you every step of the way!

Entry level
Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work in this industry, in particular, excellent communication skills, listening, empathy, patience, tact, diplomacy and time-keeping. A well-groomed appearance as well as a positive, can-do approach is also required.

This is a customer focused Industry therefore customer service and sales ability will always be required to ensure your success.

Course Methodology
The ITEC Level 2 Diploma is comprised of 5 units, all are mandatory and examinable. Assessments are by case-study as well as observation both internally and final external examination process which includes both a Theory multiple choice examination and a full practical exam in all units. Participation in our commercial College Salon is compulsory on all courses.This ensures confidence and experience before you participate in any exam or attend any interviews.

Our College Salon is supported by Tutor’s who are both qualified teachers but who have also ran their own businesses and know what is needed in the “ real world” of working in the Beauty Industry. Our team can offer support and guidance in all areas of business.

Upon Completion the student will be able to:-

Skin & Eye Care Treatments

• Conduct full Clients Consultation to include medical history and identify any contraindications prior to any treatment
• Perform a full skin analysis and identify recommended treatment
• Perform a full facial treatment (Dermalogica product used during College Salon )
• Wax, Tint eyelashes and eyebrows
• Provide client with feedback, home and after care advise and recommendations

Manicure & pedicure

• Conduct full consultation including medical history and identify and existing nail conditions
• Perform full manicure & pedicure treatments to include French Polish
• Provide client with feedback and home and after care advise and recommendations

Waxing Treatments

• Conduct full Clients Consultation to include medical history and identify any contraindications prior to any treatment
• Complete waxing to include, full leg, bikini line, underarm, forearm, lip and chin
• Provide accurate home care advise and care for ongoing treatment plan

Make-up

• Conduct full Clients Consultation to include medical history and identify any contraindications prior to any treatment
• Perform a full skin analysis and identify recommended treatment
• Complete make-up in, day, evening, one special occasion, one bridal and one other make-up

Professional conduct & Business awareness

Professional conduct & Business awareness
50 Multiple choice questions as part of the overall Theory exam are directly related to this unit.
50 Questions on each of the units are completed by MCQ as part of the theory exam.
