Do your sequenced drum tracks sound amateurish and soulless? Do they fail to cut through your mixes? Would you like your tracks to sound like a real, top-class drummer played on them?
This course takes you from a basic understanding of the drum kit to programming original, professional and organic beats, and finally to mixing drums for maximum impact within your mixes. Learn the recording and mixing tricks of the pros and all without ever having to pick up a pair of drum sticks!
Although Cubase is used to demonstrate all the techniques in this course, any sequencer software that can load soft synths and that utilises a piano-roll-style editor (ie. all of them including Ableton, Logic, Sonar and Reaper) will do. Where third party plugins are used, links are given to freeware alternatives.
