The Cisco Packet Tracer & VIRAL (Virtual Internet Routing Lab) are Cisco proprietary software and can only be obtained through Cisco. 

But students have more options that those. They can create their own lab with real equipment, get BOSON or GNS3. 

It is up to each student to obtain the simulator/emulator of their choice to study along with this course.

• The CCNP Test course is another way, other than reading the questions from the book, that is meant to simulate a testing environment, whether that would be in a class setting and/or a testing site.
• This is also a great way of reiterating and retaining what the student has already learned.
• Students will be given the option of a computerized test taking format, which is what this course does. 
• Therefore,students  will get accustomed to practice & simulate real life experience in test taking techniques. 
• This will allow for the student to acclimate themselves in being timed and help dissipate the fear when confronted with real world scenarios and when taking a Cisco certification exam conducted by PearsonVue or any other testing center where time is of the essence in passing & acquiring a certification.
