SynopsisThe course teaches furniture fundamentals, where particpants learn the design processes through which products are conceived, developed, fabricated and marketed. Participants’ designs are evaluated for style, comfort, utility and durability.
Aim of the Course
The course aims to offer intensive training in furniture product knowledge. This workshop aims to arm participants with ample knowledge on furniture contextual studies, material characteristics/ grading, production, maintenance and other factors of consideration, so as to provide appropriate sales consultation to their customers. The course also increases the employability of participants, as well as productivity within their respective companies.
Learning Objectives
Participants who successfully complete the program will be able to:
- Understand furniture design process.
- Understand materials, finishes and proportion.
- Understand different furniture construction technologies and their applications.
