As a member, you have instant access to the complete online course, with lessons, presentation videos and practice exercises on EVERY aspect of IELTS. You can choose between the Academic Module or the General Training Module so you only study exactly what you need for your test. Our lessons are built using our unique 3Step programme, starting with essential vocabulary you will need to know to study the lesson, then presentation videos and examples, followed by practice exercises to consolidate what you have learned. After you have finished each lesson, you can then try the end of lesson test so you can see your improvement. There are over 350 presentation videos in over 80 lessons!

Choose either Academic or General Training

To make sure you are using your time in the most productive way, we have two separate courses depending on which type of IELTS test you are preparing for. The Academic Module will focus on writing a report about a graph, chart, table or diagram, while the General Training Module will take you through all of the steps needed to write a good letter.

The reading section also covers the differences between the two tests, and there are 15 complete practice tests (15 x writing, 15 x reading, 15 x listening and 15 x speaking) in the Academic AND General Training courses.

The Core skills

Although it is important to study and prepare specifically for the IELTS test, it is essential to keep in mind that your being tested on your ability to communicate in English. The Core Skills course has been designed to help you improve and reinforce your English skills, focusing on all the important aspects needed for a great result.

Grammar

Covering tenses, prepositions, advanced grammar skills (the subjunctive, sentence inversion etc) and much more, the grammar lessons in the course will make sure that your English is sharpened and extended. Grammar is directly assessed in both the writing and speaking assessments so is an essential part of your preparation.

Vocabulary

The IELTS test uses a wide range of vocabulary (especially in the reading test), and is an essential part of your speaking and writing test. Inside the course, you will have regular vocabulary tests, vocabulary lists from Level 1 to Level 10 and topic based vocabulary sections that focus on common IELTS themes like the law, health and transport.

Pronunciation

From single words to complete topic cards, you will get instant feedback on your pronunciation and know exactly where to improve. Simply repeat the words / sentences you are given, or answer a question, and get an instant score for how similar your pronunciation is to a native speaker. No other IELTS online course has this option!

Reading

Our complete tests covers all of the IELTS question types and are timed to match the specifications of the IELTS test. Answers are instant graded and a band score is awarded.

Writing

With Task 1 and Task 2 in each writing test, and a timer to make sure you are staying within IELTS time limits, the writing tests give you a real feel for what the IELTS test is like. For those enrolled in the EXPAND Membership and MASTER Membership, you personal support tutor will also review, correct and grade your written work.

Each listening test has the same format, pauses and instructions as the official test, giving you a real feel for what you can expect. As with the official test, you will hear speakers from a range of English speaking countries, meaning there will be no surprises on test day! Answers are immediately graded and a band score is given.

Speaking

Covering all three sections, the speaking tests will give you a chance to practice with the type of questions you can expect, as well as the format and style of the test. Model answers are given for EVERY question, and for those enrolled in the MASTER Membership, you have a live speaking assessment and feedback session, one to one with you and your personal support tutor.

The eBook can be downloaded as soon as you become a member, and gives you practice resources, model answers and complete tests that you can practice offline. The eBook is yours to keep, and includes sections on 7 sections (reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and practice tests).
